I studied Tapestry and Printmaking at Edinburgh College of Art, graduating with a 1st Class Honours Degree in Art and Design.
Since then I have maintained my practice and exhibited yearly at both national and international levels.
My imagery reflects narratives around me. I am inspired by stories told, words and conversations shared and images of people and place. In describing my design process, I try to balance ideas from my experiences with composition and the possibilities of the media of tapestry.
My work is mainly figurative in nature married with a desire to work in texture, colour and pattern.
I am also a founding member of STAR – Scottish Tapestry Artists Regrouped and a past VP of Visual Arts Scotland.
